Accident & Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Accident & Hospital Indemnity Insurance can be a combined plan or separate plans with some overlapping features depending on the insurance carrier and what their plans offer. Generally, standalone Accident Indemnity Insurance pays out a benefit for injuries (burns, fractures, lacerations, and concussions), medical treatment and other out of pocket services, as well as hospitalization and ambulance service costs. Standalone Hospital Indemnity Insurance, generally, pays for expenses for hospital stays that can include intensive or critical care, outpatient surgery, emergency room visits, and ambulance services. For both policies, whether combined or separate, the benefits are paid directly to you, and are intended to cover any costs, outlined in your plan, that may have occurred. But you may spend it however you choose to do so.
